ASTOR at World Expo 2025, Osaka, Kansai \u2013 Polish Innovation in Robotics Education. Now in Japan.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Robots. Workshops. Debates. Inspirations. The Polish Science and Education Days at World Expo 2025 in Osaka were five days of intense meetings that proved Poland is not only ready for the challenges of the future but is actively creating solutions that shape that future.<\/p>\n

For nearly 40 years, ASTOR has been gaining industrial experience, which has resulted in a deep understanding of the market and the creation of an educational robot that prepares students for work in this field while still in school. The 6-axis Astorino robot is built using 3D printing and is programmed identically to Kawasaki Robotics industrial robots. Hands-on learning without the fear of damaging expensive components is more effective. It allows students to understand technology and become familiar with complex processes in a safe environment.<\/p>\n

What does the future of education and science look like?<\/h2>\n

We searched for the answer during the Polish Science and Education Days at Expo 2025. Poland presented not only its achievements but also a vision of a world where knowledge and technology go hand in hand.<\/p>\n

“There is a growing demand worldwide for innovative tools that support educational processes. Regardless of location \u2013 whether we are talking about Europe, Asia, or South America \u2013 it is clear that both educational institutions and the private sector are looking for modern solutions that engage, teach through experience, and prepare younger generations for the challenges of a changing job market,\u201d says Adrian Kociarz, project manager.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Astorino educational robot fits into the STEM educational model, where engineering subjects are taught in an interdisciplinary and highly practical manner. More than 150 institutions in Poland and around the world already use this product to provide hands-on robotics education. Thanks to a long-term partnership with Kawasaki Robotics, a joint business model has been developed that supports the education of the youngest generations.<\/p>\n

“The greatest satisfaction for me comes from the fact that we managed to be here \u2014 the road to participating in the Expo was not easy and required meeting many strict requirements imposed by the Japanese side. That is why I am even more pleased that we are here together, also with our technology partner Kawasaki, and we are jointly presenting Polish solutions. I was particularly positively surprised by the engagement of Japanese visitors. One might assume that robotics is part of their daily life \u2013 and yet the reactions were remarkably enthusiastic. Visitors stopped by our stands with great interest, asked questions, observed, and eagerly absorbed the knowledge we were eager to share,\u201d says Marek Niewiadomski, Head of R&D and creator of the Astorino robot.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Astorino, the Wawel Dragon and Kawasaki Ninja 2<\/h2>\n

During the Polish Science and Education Days at World Expo 2025, the Astorino robot was presented through two interactive applications, combining Polish-Japanese tradition with modern technology.<\/p>\n

The first was a model of the Kawasaki Ninja 2 mini production line<\/strong>, where two Astorino robots collaboratively assembled a motorcycle model, picking components from a moving conveyor. The station, equipped with grippers, sensors, and a compressor, allowed visitors to launch the production line and experience the atmosphere of a modern factory.<\/p>\n

The second attraction was an RPG game titled “The Legend of the Wawel Dragon”<\/em><\/strong>, in which Astorino took on the role of a guide through a miniature model of Krak\u00f3w. Players moved through locations such as the Barbican, Cloth Hall, and Wawel Castle, collecting equipment and aiming to defeat the dragon. Winners received a limited-edition Astorino card.<\/p>\n

Polish-Japanese cooperation. Long-standing relations and trust<\/h2>\n

The collaboration between ASTOR and Kawasaki Robotics dates back to 2007 when the Polish company began distributing industrial robots. Since then, Kawasaki has become a familiar name in Poland, appearing at numerous events, trade shows, conferences, and meetings. For over 10 years, ASTOR has also promoted industrial robotics through two showrooms in Krak\u00f3w \u2013 at Smole\u0144sk 29 and Wrobela 3. There, visitors can see the latest technologies used daily in factories \u2013 nearly 30,000 people have visited so far. ASTOR also manufactures robotic accessories such as linear tracks, positioners, pedestals, and gantries, which are sold worldwide under the Kawasaki Robotics brand.
\nTheir joint participation in World Expo 2025 in Osaka was another step in this long-standing partnership. Every day, representatives from Kawasaki\u2019s sales department supported us at the booth, sharing insights on industrial and educational robotics. They recalled the event this way:<\/p>\n

“The exhibition outside the Poland Pavilion was effective, and we felt that there were more visitors than we have expected. Thanks to the outdoor display of ASTOR’s booth, we thought it has helped to attract more visitors to the Poland Pavilion. Also, the assembly demonstration of the Kawasaki Ninja model contributed greatly to attracting visitors.” \u2013 said Mr. Atsushi Hanawa, Sales Leader at the Factory Automation Department.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The power of partnership<\/h2>\n

The Polish Science and Education Days at World Expo 2025 in Osaka were undoubtedly a success \u2013 both in terms of organization and content. We are delighted by the tremendous interest from Japanese visitors, their openness to Polish technological solutions, and the enthusiastic reactions from young people and teachers.
\nWe are proud to have presented the Astorino educational robot as an example of innovative, practical education for the future. We are happy to see how our long-term collaboration with Kawasaki Robotics is bearing fruit in the form of real solutions that support the development of young talents around the globe.<\/p>\n
